Since the initial release of AssetAccountant in June 2020, we have:
- built detailed accounting rules for both US GAAP and IFRS
- built detailed tax rules for the USA, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand as well as basic tax rules for all other countries
When setting up a fixed asset register in AssetAccountant, if you do not see your country in the dropdown list, choose "Rest of World".
No matter which country you choose, you have the option to also select any worldwide currency.
